Vihula Manor in North Estonia is developing a new reforesting project planting over 15.000 fir trees in two areas of totally ca. 5 ha. around the estate to offset over 150 tons of CO2 emission annually. Planting trees is a game changer in our efforts to stop climate change. It cannot stop the climate change alone, but reforesting the world can give an important contribution together with other important sustainable practices. Via Hansa & Borealis is inviting guests who visit Estonia and Vihula Manor to offset their travel carbon footprint by participation in the Vihula Manor Reforesting Project.
Vihula Manor is well booked for the season and Via Hansa & Borealis is prior to the high season doing some further investments into the estate, including reconstructing the historic Flour Miller’s House and adding more spacious room and constructing an out-door Summer Terrace for the Swimming-Pool & Sauna Center. Finally, the Vihula Manor Vodka Museum has been enlarged with two new exciting exhibitions about the History of Flavored Vodkas and Vodka Smuggling in Estonia in the pre-war period. Vihula Manor, which was awarded the title of ‘Historic Hotel of Europe 2020’, is the largest full-service manor-resort in the Baltic countries and offers plenty of options for accommodation, catering, banqueting and conferencing, Swimming-Pool and Sauna Center, Spa-Center and an abundance of leisure and sport facilities and unspoiled nature.
