The largest travel trade event in the Northern Europe specialized in winter season is taking place in Helsinki. Northern Europe continues to attract international travelers during the snow-covered winter months. The workshop organizers planned the workshop to be both onsite and online, regretfully the onsite participation will be very limited due to the current travel restrictions.

Tallink Silja becomes the first shipping company to receive the Sustainable Travel Finland label. Visit Finland has developed the Sustainable Travel Finland program. The program is designed for Finnish tourism companies and destinations to develop more sustainable practices.
Helsinki has developed very fast during the last decade to become more vibrant than ever before. Many new modern and affordable hotels have been opened here too. One of the recent additions is the Lapland Hotel Bulevardi located in the middle of Helsinki´s bustling city centre. The new four-star hotel offers 182 guest-rooms from comfort class to luxurious suites at the Penthouse Floor, where each suite has a balcony with a gorgeous view of the city.
Sokos Hotels’ network of properties is being renewed, and among the latest news is the completion of the renovation of the legendary Original Sokos Hotel Presidentti in Helsinki at the end of August. The centrally located hotel has undergone a considerable transformation during the two-and-a-half-year renovation period, from which the Presidentti has emerged as a storytelling experience-rich hotel.
The Kämp Collection Hotels will get an addition in April 2018 when Hotel St. George will open in the heart of Helsinki. The building of the new hotel dates back to the 1840s and throughout the years it has hosted the Finnish Literature Society, the printing house for the first Finnish newspaper Suometar and the Helsinki Finnish Club, among others.
Recently Helsinki has got an addition of two new hotels- the two tower Clarion Hotel Helsinki located near the city centre at West Harbour and Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport with a convenient location just 2km from the airport in the Aviapolis Business District. Both hotels are very modern and offer a variety of services.
