Via Hansa & Borealis will be present at VAKANTIEBEURS in Utrecht, on January 11th – January 13th 2023. We do not have any booth at the fair but Mrs. Anete Rublane will be present during the days and available for meetings with old and new customers to discuss leisure and MICE products for the Baltic countries, Poland, the Nordic countries and beyond.
Following a busy summer, Via Hansa & Borealis' Baltic and Polish offices are currently implementing a completely new operational software system, which will enable us to do offers faster, at least the part of this which we can control ourselves, and handle the whole operation in more automated and efficient processes than until now.
After a couple of very difficult years Balticvision is finally this season seeing some real recovery and in the summer operating a substantial number of departures in the three Baltic countries, Poland and Finland. Numbers are still very far from pre-pandemic level but significantly better than in 2020/2021. Balticvision is out very early with the winter catalogue 2022/2023 and the summer catalogue 2023.
The tragic events unfolding in Ukraine over the last three weeks have understandably made some guests rethink their holiday plans for 2022. Via Hansa & Borealis has seen massive cancellations of tours to Russia from around the world, while most customers for the time being are keeping on to their bookings in the Baltic and Nordic countries.
We are pleased to inform you that Via Hansa & Borealis will participate at the international tourism fair FITUR2022, on-site in Madrid from January 19th till 21st. We will be exhibiting in our own stand in Hall No. 4 / Stand no. 4D14.
With concerts taking place in Riga and Jurmala, the Riga Jurmala Music Festival 2022 features four weekends throughout the summer presenting world-class orchestras and conductors: the Mariinsky Orchestra with Valery Gergiev; the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra with Michael Tilson Thomas, the Mariss Jansons Festival Orchestra with Klaus Mäkelä and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra with Manfred Honeck.
Our offices in the Nordic Countries will be closed from 24.12.2021 to 26.12.2021 and again from 31.12.2021 to 02.01.2022, our offices in the Baltic countries and Poland will be closed from 24. 12.2021 until 02.01.2022, our offices in Russia and Ukraine will be working as usual during the Christmas period, and will be closed from 01.01.2022 until 09.01.2022 for the New Year and Orthodox Christmas.
Rundale Palace in the South of Latvia has been awarded the European Garden Price for 2021. The former summer residence of the Dukes of Courland is the most impressive baroque palace in the Baltic countries and features a 10 hectare French baroque garden. Over several years the garden has been restored to its former beauty and glory.
