VILNIUS – GROWING & IMPROVING – AND CELEBRATING

VILNIUS – GROWING & IMPROVING – AND CELEBRATING
18.10.2022

The Lithuanian capital is marking a historic milestone in 2023 – 700 years of history. Managers from Via Hansa & Borealis in the Baltic countries and Poland were visiting Vilnius last week to prepare for the celebrations and were very positively surprised by the developments in the city over the last two-three years: new residential areas, office buildings, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, etc. Whole new neighborhoods have emerged. The city is improving and growing. Vilnius, founded in 1327 by Grand Duke Gediminas, has had a very turbulent history through the centuries, and it is today a modern, vibrant, and safe city, which has a lot to offer its guests.

The city is preparing for a grand celebration next year with an abundance of festivities, exhibitions, concerts, festivals, performances, and activities. You can find the preliminary anniversary program here. In general, we recommend our guests visit Vilnius next year, study the festival program and participate in the celebrations when they are there. Vilnius is also a great MICE destination. There are plenty of new modern hotels like the 5-star Pacai, the 4-star hotels Courtyard Vilnius City Center and Garden Inn Vilnius City Center, while the 4-star Hotel Radisson Blu Lietuva, with 456 guest rooms and suites, is still the largest hotel in town.
