The Russian authorities have eased the visa procedures to Russia for tourists of 59 countries worldwide. The countries are: Austria, Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Hungary, Venezuela, Vietnam, Germany, Greece, Dominican Republic, Egypt, India, Jordan, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Qatar, China, Kyrgyzstan, Korea, Cuba, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mauritius, Morocco, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Moldova, United Arab Emirates, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, North Macedonia, Seychelles, Serbia, Singapore, Syria, USA, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkey, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Finland, France, Croatia, Czechia, Ethiopia and Japan. Citizens of these countries can now apply for a single-entry half-year visa to Russia at the Russian consulates. The consulates will require a valid passport and a hotel confirmation or a visa-support-letter to support the application. All guests need to present a negative PRC test and fill out a special entry form at the entry. The regulation only applies to guests arriving by plane directly from the country of their citizenship. E-visa to Russia is suspended due to the covid-19 pandemic until further notice.
