SCANDIC HOTELS EXPAND HOTEL PORTFOLIO IN HELSINKI

After a two years long restoration process, the new Scandic Grand Central Helsinki has been inaugurated. The hotel is located in an original Art Nouveau building from the beginning of the 20th century, which previously served as the head office of Finland‘s railway company. The northern wing of the original building with 373 rooms and suites is now connected with a modern new building with 118 rooms and suites

ICELAND OPENS IT BORDERS TO THE WORLD

After more than a year with worldwide travel ban Iceland goes in the frontline opening its boarders to the world. From February 16th Iceland has exempted citizens of Europe’s Schengen zone from quarantine and test regulations, if they are vaccinated with one of the vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency, which currently include Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson. From April 6th anyone is allowed entry to Iceland, if they are vaccinated with one of the four approved vaccines.
