BALTIC COUNTRIES CONTINUE RECOVERY
Via Hansa & Borealis was recently entertaining a group of fifteen travel executives from companies in Europe, Canada and Australia through a week-long tour in the Baltic countries. The purpose of the trip was to reconnect traditional customers and to acquaint new customers with the Baltic destinations as they are today. The trip which was supported by the three Baltic national tourism boards and a number of regional Baltic tourism boards, was in particular inspiring the customers to innovate traditional programs, and the guests were acquainted with a lot of novelties in the capitals cities, introduced to many cultural immersions and soft nature adventure in all three countries. The trip was blessed by unusually warm and sunny spring weather, and the guests went back with an impression of the Baltic destinations as safe and secure and with a lot to offer in the future.
EXCEPTIONAL DANISH DESIGN
The Danish capital is by UNESCO proclaimed World Capital of Architecture in 2023. The iconic Radisson Collection Royal Hotel Copenhagen, the world’s first design hotel, is the ideal place to start connecting and explore the roots of modern design. The five-star hotel in the center of Copenhagen, right opposite to the Tivoli Gardens, is recognized as one of the famous architect Arne Jacobsen’s principal works of architecture.
MÖVENPICK GOES TO TALLINN
After a change in ownership, the new four-star superior Hotel L’Embitu will begin its operations as Mövenpick Tallinn in October 2023 and will offer 125 modern and premium quality rooms to its guests. It will be the first property in the Baltic countries operating under the Mövenpick brand, an Accor premium brand focused on the appreciation of life’s essential pleasures by providing visitors with moments of pure bliss. JURMALA IS CALLING
The Latvian prime sea resort of Jurmala is looking forward to welcoming many visitors this summer. The hotel scene in Jurmala is dominated by three large hotels: the 5-star Hotel Baltic Beach Hotel & Spa, the 4-star Hotel Jurmala Spa, and Lielupe Hotel Spa & Conferences. All three hotels dating back to the 70s and 80s have over the most recent years been completely renovated. HOTEL RIXWELL SEGEVOLD REOPENS
The Hotel Segevold in the Gauja National Park in Latvia has been taken over by the Mogotel Hotel Group and has been reopened after renovations for the 2023 summer. The 4-star hotel features 43 rooms, a restaurant, a spa with saunas and indoor swimmingpool, and two conference rooms. We recommend the hotel for individual travelers and groups looking for 1st class accommodation. The Mogotel Hotel Group has been expanding over the last years and is now operating a number of hotels under various brands. in Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia and Bulgaria. VILNIUS HOSTING NATO SUMMIT 2023 JULY 11TH-12TH
Lithuania is safe and secure, and NATO is convening its Annual Summit in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, July 11th-12th. The summit is supposed to gather about 3000 delegates, head of states, official delegations, mass media, security personnel etc. We expect that the booking situation in Vilnius will be very complicated in the whole period 07.07-14.07.2023, as well as there will be serious disruptions and limitations of transportations in the days of the summit, including air transportation in/out of Vilnius and ground transportation in the city.
